Experience

My extensive career includes working as a senior clinical pharmacist at NHS Mental Health Trusts across Cheshire, Wirral and North Wales. I have experience as a practice pharmacist working within a Cheshire GP surgery for 3 years and in an NHS adult ADHD team covering Cheshire, Wirral and Liverpool.

I was registered as a pharmacist on the Pharmacy Board of Australia for 3 years, where I worked at the Townsville Hospital and at James Cook University in Queensland.

Publication

I have worked on various projects including one on reducing risks associated with medicines and lifestyle in a residential care population with intellectual disabilities. Working on stopping over medication of people with a learning disability, autism or both with psychotropic medicines (STOMP). This work was published.

Medicines are prescribed with good intentions but may not be given the time to explore other options and are not always reviewed regularly. This can sometimes result in patients being left on inappropriate treatments and doses for many years, causing more harm than good.

I have a passion for lifestyle medicine and mental health and in response to the challenge encountered by patients to access ADHD treatment on the NHS and the private sector I decided to set up the clinic. Empowered to provide personalised and accessible treatment options, helping to reduce reliability on medication alone.

I see optimising the 6 pillars of lifestyle as a vital approach to improving physical and mental health. Exploring the root cause of a condition and symptom, therefore not only offering the medication option but lifestyle changes too.
